Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Lokals ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lokals is a platform that allows local business owners and service providers ("Providers") to create profiles and be discovered by customers in their area. Lokals connects Providers with potential customers but is not a party to any transactions between them.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@findalokal.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Provider Listings

Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content in their profiles, including descriptions, pricing, images, and contact information. Lokals reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable at our sole discretion.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or business
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Payments and Billing

Certain features of Lokals require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We use Stripe to process payments; your payment information is stored securely by Stripe and not on our servers.

7. Intellectual Property

The Lokals name, logo, and all related content are owned by Lokals and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant Lokals a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Lokals does not guarantee the accuracy of any Provider listing or the quality of any service offered by a Provider. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lokals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your profile and data will be removed from the platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
